HAM’s new administrative director selected 10.2.2023 Sanna Katajavuori. © Markku Pihlaja The Board of the HAM Helsinki Art Museum Foundation has selected Sanna Katajavuori, MSc (Econ.), as the new administrative director. Katajavuori moves into the new role from her current position as the executive director of Sulasol ry. She will start at HAM on 13 March 2023. “We are extremely happy to have Sanna Katajavuori as HAM’s administrative director. Sanna was selected for the post among many great applicants because of her administrative experience and educational background. Sanna has excellent financial skills and strong understanding of cultural administration. Additionally, her approach on leading is humane, which the board considered an important quality in this position”, says Kai Huotari, HAM Helsinki Art Museum Foundation’s chair of the board. “I am looking forward to getting to know HAM’s personnel and familiarise myself with the art museum’s operational environment. It is interesting to get to see the culture sector from a new angle and start building the foundation’s organisation in cooperation with the new museum director and museum personnel”, says the art museum’s new administrative director, Sanna Katajavuori. HAM Helsinki Art Museum’s operations and personnel transferred to the HAM Helsinki Art Museum Foundation on 1 January 2023. With the conversion, HAM became a city subsidiary financed by institutional grants for culture. The administrative director’s role is new in the HAM Helsinki Art Museum Foundation.
