The stone was donated by the Rotaries in 1983 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the tree’s planting. The stone includes the text: “Kansojen ystävyyden puu istutti – Nationernas vänskaps träd planterade 22.8.1932 Rotary International Paul P. Harris”. (The tree of international friendship was planted on August 22, 1932 by Rotary International Paul P. Harris).
