, Helsinki

“Unexpected Visitor” is a relief consisting of six pieces. It is made of polished red granite from the Kökar island in Åland and was commissioned directly from the artist by the Suomi Mutual Life Assurance Company.

The relief has two parts: On the right, a rural family can be seen. The father is feeding a horse while the mother holds her child. On the left, an angelic female figure can be seen blessing the family.
