Gunnar Finne: Horses, 1940. © Photo: HAM Helsinki Art Museum Hevoset / Horses Artist Gunnar Finne Väylänrinne 1, Tammisalo, Helsinki In the beginning of the 19th century artists were typically trained in both the arts and architecture, of which Gunnar Finne (1886-1952) is a prime example. “Horses” is made from dark granite and depicts two stylized horses playing together. The work belongs to HAM / Bäcksbacka collection donated to The City of Helsinki in the 1970’s. Horses was moved from Meilahti to Tammisalo and was revealed in a new location November 16th 2015.
