Grave of the Soldier, 1855. © Photo: HAM Helsinki Art Museum Grave of the Soldier Artist Tuntematon/Okänd/Unknown Maamonlahden puisto, Lauttasaari, Helsinki The memorial is an iron cannon ball with the inscription: “STUPAD VID FÖRSVARET AF DENNA Ö, Å MÖRTNÄS UDDE: DEN 9 AUGUSTI 1855 FRID MED HANS STOFT” (Fell while defending this island, on Särkiniemi August 9, 1855 May he rest in piece).
