What Kind of Animal Are You? Fri 16.8.2024 17:00 © Joonatan Aaltonen ja Matilda Aaltonen The performance by dance artist Matilda Aaltonen and sociologist Salla Tuomivaara moves among and interacts with the artworks and space of the Who Is an Animal? exhibition. What Kind of Animal Are You? is a bodily exploration of human animality. Using both speech and non-verbal expressions of the body, the performance deconstructs, critiques, and invalidates the dualistic human-animal dichotomy and examines humanity thereafter. The performances take place on Friday 16 August at 5pm and on Saturday 17 August at 4pm. The performances are in Finnish and their duration is approximately 30-40 minutes. The performances contain nudity. It is prohibited to take photos of video during the performances.
