In the “Tracing Pirtola’s Pen” workshops inspired by the Works on Paper exhibition of Erkki Pirtola’s works, you will explore perceptual and observational drawing. 

A visit to the legendary Art Room

Erkki Pirtola studied at the University of Helsinki’s Art Room, which was an important community for him. This workshop will present the Art Room space and its activities and history. After the guided tour, we will draw pictures of the sculptures in the Art Room’s collections. 

The workshops will be led by Vappu Rossi, a brilliant drawer, who currently heads the University of Helsinki’s Art Room.
