HAM x Urban Sketchers in Esplanade Park

18:00 - 21:00

Join us in drawing people, sculptures, and the August night atmosphere in Esplanade Park. HAM organises a drawing session with the Urban Sketchers Helsinki community. We will draw what we see from direct observation and in our personal style. We will use various drawing instruments and explore mixed media. No earlier experience is required. HAM will provide paper and borrow pencils to draw.

Urban Sketchers in a nutshell:

  • We meet at a designated location and review the idea for the drawing session.
  • Everyone draws at their own pace at a spot of their choice for two hours.
  • Finally, we will look at the sketches together, photograph them, and discuss our observations.

Note! You can join the event whenever you like.

Several sculptures from HAM’s collections can be found in Esplanade Park, including the Eino Leino statue (1953) sculpted by Lauri Leppänen. You will find us by the sculpture.

Free entry – we warmly invite you to join us!

Urban Sketchers is a global community that promotes on-location drawing and connects people who draw in places where they live and travel. Urban Sketchers Helsinki is the community’s subgroup operating in Helsinki.
