Water Prism by Veikko Björk (b. 1960) explores the behaviour of light in water. The work consists of a water tank made of laminated glass, mounted between two patinated steel legs. The work reaches a height of two metres. The water in the tank is in constant motion, its surface rippling and casting the colours of the spectrum onto the surrounding space. The work is situated on the second-floor landing in the central hall of the school, where it can be seen from many directions. The work was produced under the Percent for Art programme, and it belongs to the collection of the City of Helsinki, managed by HAM Helsinki Art Museum. At map
