Time and Evolution by Antti Ratalahti (b. 1964, Kauhajoki) is a large painting that depicts change. Growth and evolution start after the Big Bang. The force of nature appears in the work as light of immense energy and motion.

Mounted on the wall of the dining room, the work is made of sprayed acrylic on MDF board. The painting is 6 metres wide and 4 metres tall.

The work was produced under the Percent for Art programme, and it belongs to the collection of the City of Helsinki, managed by HAM Helsinki Art Museum.
