Zoltan Popovits: Water Work, 1985. © Photo: HAM Helsinki Art Museum / Hanna Kukorelli Vesiteos / Water Work Artist Zoltan Popovits , Helsinki Zoltan Popovits designed the Rahakamari square in Pasila together with the architect Jan Söderlund. In the centre of the work is a glass cone surrounded by floral arrangements. Below them is a duct flowing with water. The water is collected in a pool in front of the Master Builders’ building, from where it is pumped back to the beginning, some two metres higher. The flow is directed by pyramids, familiar from Zoltan Popovits’ other works, and other obstacles. The work was completed in 1985 and it belongs to the City of Helsinki’s art collection, which is managed and curated by HAM. Read more.. At map
