Pippingsköld to the city of Helsinki. It was originally purchased at the Paris World Fair in 1889. The bronze piece is a representative of 19th century realistical style. It seems that the artist’s only intention was to show how even such an ordinary animal is elevated when it is portrayed in bronze.
